Dance for Health is "Idea of the Year for Life" - Skandia
Yesterday, May 16, Dans för Hälsa was invited to Skandia's headquarters in Stockholm for a meeting, but it turned out to be more than that. A fantastic surprise was added: Dans för Hälsa was awarded Skandia's prize "Idea of the Year for Life"! So honorable, valuable and fantastic fun!
Jury statement: "Dance for Health is a research-based method for improving young people's mental health through undemanding dance and community. Regular measurements show that it effectively reduces stress-related symptoms. By collaborating with various health institutions and training more than 500 local instructors, Dance for Health has quickly established itself in almost 200 locations across Sweden. Dans för Hälsa is an inspiring proof that anyone with a good idea and a strong social commitment can contribute to giving more children and young people the chance to live a healthy and safe life. The board ofSkandia 's Ideas for Life Foundation therefore appoints Dance for Health as the Idea of the Year 2021."
Ideas for Life, Skandia has continuously supported local Dance for Health activities across the country for many years. Ensuring that local initiatives have a tailwind at the start and power to stand. They will continue to support, even more clearly in the future. THAT is already fantastic. And now this great prize. WARM THANKS!
"The Idea of the Year for Life is a prize that we award to those who have an idea with great potential or already demonstrated results to solve a societal challenge. With the award, we want to highlight particularly significant initiatives that work to create a society with better health and increased security for children and young people."
Congratulations also to "Lära med hästar" which was also awarded the same!
Dance for Health today reaches many young people across the country, but the need for active promotional efforts is great - and the message today from Skandia was clear; KÖRARE!
Yes, what do you say, we do that, don't we?
