Anna Duberg
founder of Dance for Health, responsible for methodology and courses
Anna Duberg, Medical Doctor in Health Sciences, is the founder of Dance for Health and is responsible for its method and courses. She also works as a research supervisor at University Health Care Research Center and is an innovation coach at the Innovation Team, Region Örebro County. Basic service as a licensed physiotherapist in child and adolescent psychiatry, Region Örebro County.
Anna's thesis on how dance can strengthen mental health (2016) combines her physiotherapy focus on stress reduction, body awareness and youth health with her personal interest in dance. Anna currently alternates implementation of Dance for Health with innovation coaching and continued research work. Her research area is mainly in physical activity for mental health for different target groups. With joy of movement and physical self-confidence as keywords, you will also often find Anna as an instructor in classes such as Soma Move, Yoga and Elementary Dance. Anna is also a board member of Tjejzonen, Sweden's largest support organization for girls.

Prizes and awards
"Innovator of the year in Swedish healthcare" Dance for Health won the Gold Scalpel 2019, Dagens medicin. The jury's motivation: "For having impressively mobilized and motivated people to better health, without expensive investments and with young and old people's own power. With the support of evidence, methodically renewed the way healthcare works by taking advantage of what is healthy."
"Professional Woman of the Year" 2019, Örebro County. The jury's motivation: "For drawing attention to young people with mental illness, developing her profession as a physiotherapist and creating Dance for Health, which through school health care spreads undemanding physical activity, belonging and social community for young people throughout the country."
The "Collaboration Prize" at Örebro University's Academic Ceremony 2019 went to Social Impact Lab where Anna was a co-winner.
"Research of the Year" 2018, Yoga Gala in Stockholm.
Nominated as"Whip of the Year" in 2017 (GEN-PEP) and"Role Model of the Year" in 2014 and 2016 (Golden Heart).
